The village of Panimachavac is one of 32 communities locates in the Northern part of Tecpan, Guatemala. 80 families live in this small community that is considered as a point of reference for neighboring communities.
In 2014, with support from Seekers Church members the community's library construction began. During its first stage, a retaining wall was built.
In 2015, construction continued according to Architect Rodrigo Aparicio's design. For two consecutive years, Seekers Church volunteers worked on the building phase.
Help was also received by the Municipality of Tecpan Ojai Rotary Club, Fundación Carlos F. Novella, and the community of Panimachavac. The project was possible under the leadership of PAVA's board members and collaborators.
With this new infrastructure, the users will receive an over-all better attention. We hope that the Comuniteca will benefit more that 2,000 people in the community of Panimachavac and neighboring villages. This center is to become a place for development and social integration.
